A final determination of the pension to be paid former Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been made. He will receive $8,115 per month, for an annual payment of $97,380, officials with the Los Angeles City Employee Retirement System announced Wednesday.
Villaraigosa, 60, served two terms as mayor until being forced to leave office on June 30 due to term limits.
He was credited with having put in 24.5 years of service, including years as mayor and City Council member and his time in the state Assembly.
It was announced three weeks ago that he has taken a job with Banc of California, a Beverly Hills- and Irvine-based company where he will act as an adviser to CEO Steven Sugarman in a part-time position. His salary for the job was not released.
