Least Popular Wedding Themes

For Richer and Weirder

NOTE FROM KATHLEEN:

A simple white dress and some rice just
doesn?t make it anymore. Brides are planning
?theme weddings? with all the trimmings.

The Top 8 Least Popular Wedding Themes

8> Drive-In Nuptials: Service is held in the parking lot of a
drive-in movie. Guests listen to vows through speakers.
Everyone drives through McDonald?s for dinner.

7> Break-Up/Make-Up: The couple stages a dramatic fight, steals
away to have tawdry sex with members of the bridal party, then
returns to the altar in tears for a memorable vow exchange
accompanied by feel-good background music.

6> The L. Ron Wedding: Wedding party dumps all their money in a
bucket and gives it to the ?Church? in hopes of learning the
contrived secrets behind alien visitation and some other weird
sh*t.

5> Wed by Proxy: Wedding party never shows. Bride and groom are
represented by a blowup doll and vibrator. Minister phones it
in. Guests arrive, set their coats down, and wander off
somewhere.

4> Social Netwedding: Bride walks down aisle while tweeting from
her cellphone, while groom posts video to Facebook. The couple
recognizes a dozen of the 600 guests. Honeymoon is a walking
tour of Seattle wifi spots. Couple fails to consummate the
marriage, instead having ?physical affairs? with random
strangers they actually meet in person.

3> Wilderstein Style: Everyone comes as his or her favorite
animal; not in costume but through body modification. Food is
served, but quality is unimportant since it will be either
thrown away or thrown up later.

2> The 13th Step: Bride and groom met at AA, begin ceremony by
acknowledging they have issues, seeking their higher power,
apologizing to their parents and friends for being such jerks.
The guest book is signed with first names only.

and the Number 1 Least Popular Wedding Theme?

1> Hoarders? Wedding: Guests sit in dimly-lit rooms on towering
stacks of National Geographic magazines. Bride and groom walk
down the aisle together, arm in arm, accompanied by the
yowling of the bride?s 73 cats.
