THERE was something for everyone at a freshers fair that introduced pupils to the range of activities at their new school.
On their first day incoming year sevens at Charters School in Sunningdale browsed sports activities as well as art, science and games clubs that the school offers and signed up to take part in their favourite hobbies.
As well as the well known PE and sports activities, youngsters could find out about more unusual clubs such as fencing, kick boxing and squash at the fair on September 7. Artistic types were introduced to the creative writing, music, gardening, art and photography clubs and more.
Ben Ambridge , a year seven pupil, said: "I didn't know we'd be able to do all this at Charters, I am definitely signing up for the fencing and well as other clubs with my friends. My first day at school has been great."
Most children signed up to at least three clubs on the day and Martyn Parker, co-headteacher at the school said: "It was lovely to see not only the enthusiasm of our new Year 7s as they signed up to one or more of our 70 plus clubs but also the enthusiasm of the people running the clubs, including other pupils and members of the wider community who gave up their own time to come into school to advertise their activities."
